Nancy Carroll is a woodcarver, painter and furniture maker. Her art is in private collections from Maine to Arizona. She is inspired by birds, boats, buildings, animals, vegetables, migrating fish and the colors and textures of everyday objects. She sometimes makes familiar things very large in order to see and appreciate the details, the parts that make up the wondrous whole of a red pepper, or a wild turkey. She carves and paints what she is in love with today. She also accepts commissions.
“Judging by the way Carroll’s painted wood carvings captivate the attention of viewers, there’s no doubt she has succeeded in capturing her own vibrant spirit and passion for life in her art.”
